Every InterlakenTransfers.ch transfer is private — your group only, no shared coaches or strangers. We offer vehicle categories from standard cars for solo travellers and couples to minibuses for larger groups. All vehicles are air-conditioned and driven by professional, English-speaking drivers familiar with Alpine road conditions in all seasons — including winter snow routes to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen.

Luggage tip: Travelling as a couple with 2 suitcases? The Standard Car is fine. Not sure? Our Standard Van is the safe, comfortable choice — space for up to 8 passengers and 8 large suitcases plus 2 carry-ons. For more comfort with fewer bags, the Premium Van (Mercedes V-Class) is a great upgrade. Travelling in a larger group or with ski equipment? Our VIP Sprinter has the real space for both. How to Choose the Right Vehicle

Vehicle Selection Guide — Interlaken & Jungfrau Region

The right vehicle depends on two things: your group size and the total number and size of your bags. Alpine travellers often carry more luggage than standard holidaymakers — especially in winter with ski equipment.

When in doubt, always select the next category up. The modest difference in price is worth the comfort — especially on longer journeys from Zurich or Geneva Airport to Interlaken, Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen.

Ski Equipment

Ski equipment (skis, snowboards, ski bags) must be declared at booking. It is not automatically included — please confirm in advance. Popular ski routes include Zurich Airport to Grindelwald, Zurich Airport to Wengen (via Lauterbrunnen), and Geneva Airport to Grindelwald. We recommend the VIP Sprinter or Standard Van for ski groups.

Child Seats

Child seats are available on request at no additional charge. Please specify the age and weight of the child at booking so we can arrange the correct seat type (infant, toddler, booster). Child seats must be requested at least 24 hours before service.

Accessibility

If any member of your party has mobility requirements or uses a wheelchair or walking frame, please let us know at booking. We will advise on the most suitable vehicle and ensure the driver is briefed before pick-up.

FAQ — Transfer Vehicles

Which vehicle is best for a transfer from Zurich Airport to Interlaken?

For most guests — couples or small groups with standard luggage — the Standard Van is the best choice for a Zurich Airport to Interlaken transfer. It comfortably handles up to 8 passengers with 8 large suitcases plus 2 carry-ons. For a couple with 2 suitcases and light hand luggage, the Standard Car or Premium Car is perfectly sufficient. For a more luxurious ride with up to 6 passengers and lighter luggage, the Premium Van (Mercedes V-Class) is an excellent step up.

Do you have vehicles suitable for ski equipment transfers to Grindelwald?

Yes. Ski equipment must be declared at booking — it is not automatically included. For ski groups heading to Grindelwald, Wengen, or other Jungfrau Region ski resorts, we recommend the VIP Mercedes Sprinter (long version) for up to 8 passengers with full ski bags, or the Standard Van for smaller groups with standard ski bags. Please contact us before booking to confirm ski equipment capacity for your specific group size.

Can I book a Mercedes for my Interlaken transfer?

Yes. Our Premium Car category includes vehicles such as the Mercedes E-Class. Our Premium Van category features the Mercedes V-Class — ideal for comfortable group transfers to Interlaken, Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen. For larger groups, our VIP Minibus category uses the Mercedes Sprinter long version.

Do you have vehicles for groups of 8 to 16 passengers?

Yes. We offer a VIP Mercedes Sprinter for up to 8 passengers, a standard minibus for up to 12 passengers, and a larger minibus for up to 16 passengers. All include ample luggage space. Contact us to confirm availability for your travel date and route.

What if I am unsure how much luggage space I need?

Go with the Standard Van — it is the safe, affordable choice for most groups. Space for up to 8 passengers and 8 large suitcases plus 2 carry-ons. If you need more comfort with lighter luggage, the Premium Van is a great step up. For heavy loads or ski equipment, the VIP Sprinter is the right call. Still unsure? Are child seats available for Interlaken transfers?

Yes — child seats are provided at no additional charge. Please specify the age and weight of the child at booking. Child seats must be requested at least 24 hours before service. This applies to all routes including Zurich Airport to Interlaken, Geneva Airport to Grindelwald, and Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen.

Are your vehicles air-conditioned?

Yes. All vehicles in our fleet are air-conditioned — important for summer transfers in the Jungfrau Region, particularly during July and August when temperatures in Interlaken can be warm. All vehicles are also equipped with heating and defrost systems for winter Alpine transfers.
